So what exactly are backhoe loaders?

Backhoe loaders and associated machines are commonly used for small construction projects such as building houses, road repair, and farm excavation. A backhoe loader is a heavy equipment vehicle that consists of a tractor typtically with a shovel/bucket on the front and a small backhoe on the back. A hoe is an agricultural tool used to agitate the surface of the soil, create furrows, trenches, and generally dig and move soil.

An excavator is a heavy construction equipment that consists of a boom, bucket and cab on a rotating platform. The platform sits atop an undercarriage with either tracks or wheels.
